A night of active lifestyle beers with the guys who defined ‘active’
Here at Dogfish Head we’re all about the action. Whether it's running in the Dogfish Dash, participating in co-worker bocce and kickball tournaments or riding in the Dogfish I.P.A. race - we’re always on the move. We’ve got a few beers perfect for those with both active lifestyles and conscience consumption mindsets, and we’re excited to be highlighting them at our May Beer Dinner that celebrates all things action AND action sports!
A few of our friends in the action sports world (we’re talking professionals here, folks) will be joining us on Sunday, May 19 for an “action-packed” dinner! Dinner guests will enjoy a three-course menu, paired with our active lifestyle beers, PLUS we’ve collaborated with The Larimer Beer Co. to brew up a special beer for the event.
Dogfish Head Brewing Ambassador Bryan Selders and Matt Lindenmuth, Head of The Larimer Beer Co. and formerly top-ranked professional vert skater and snowboarder, will be leading the beer experience and fielding audience questions to our special speakers. Not all our speakers can join us, so we’ll be Skyping them in from the West Coast to share career stories and answer guest questions!
Tickets are $40 per person and includes 3 courses and 3 complementary brews.

So who's on the docket?
Bucky Lasek (Attending virtually)
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Lasek started skateboarding at age 12 and was quickly noticed by talent scouts upon entering amateur contests. Lasek attained professional status in 1990 and continued to push vert skating to its limits. In his years as a professional skateboarder, Lasek has surpassed some of the most notable names in action sports to claim his title as the number one vert skater in America. With a contest repertoire that includes more difficult tricks than any other skater in competition, Lasek has won countless medals while providing his aggressive, yet innovative and smooth style.
A long four-wheel enthusiast, Lasek began competing in Rallycross competitions in 2012. Rallycross is the most readily accessible form of extreme dirt motorsport racing, and Lasek is only the second athlete in history to win medals in both motorized and nonmotorized events.
Evan Smith (Attending virtually)
Evan Smith grew up in Orlando, Florida, started skating around 13 years old and got his first sponsor when he was 15. In 2013 he turned Pro. Through the years he has become well known for his unpredictable runs and tricks. Evan’s larger than life personality always hypes up the crowd at competitions and he’s currently one of the most notable skateboarders in the U.S., traveling around the globe to compete.
Billy Marks (Attending virtually)
An impressive and well-respected professional skateboarder, Marks is from California and has had a long career in the skate world. After turning pro in 2003, he's been well known for his appearance in skate videos and contests and competitions across the U.S.
Matt Dove (Attending in person)
An accomplished skater with traditional wins such as "Best Vert Trick," Dove was a regular in skate competitions in the early 2000's and is well known for his authenticity and artistic integrity. Now a Delmarva resident, Dove spends his time leading summer skate camps in Ocean City, and building beautiful works of art, which include handmade rings created from of old skateboards.
Anthony Furlong (Attending virtually)
Known for his talents on vert ramps and renowned for his style on his board, Furlong made a name for himself throughout the 1990s as one of the best up-and-coming amateur vert skaters. Traveling across the nation for competitions, Furlong has been among the top ten competitors at various events featuring vert.
Matt Lindenmuth (Attending in person)
Formerly top-ranked professional vert skater (rollerblade), as well as a professional snowboarder. He is most known for being the first athlete in the world to do a double backflip on a vert ramp, often referred to as a "Double Lindy," and also triple back flips on the vert ramp. In 2004, Lindenmuth also began competing in professional snowboard events making him one of the few athletes to compete in multiple sports in both summer and winter.
Since competing in the action sports world, Lindenmuth has taken his knowledge and work ethics into a different direction, brewing beer. He went on to establish and run Saucony Creek Brewing Company in Kutztown and Reading, Pennsylvania and earned a GABF gold medal in 2015 in the Belgian-style Fruit Beer Category. In 2017, Matt also launched his newest project, The Larimer based out of Denver, CO but recently expanded a new taproom location to Chester, PA.
Guests can purchase individual seats or a whole table for this beer dinner. Full tables are available with seats of 2, 4, 6 and 8. Please note that there is a lower level and upper level, as well as seats available at the main bar and pizza bar. Note: Not all bar seats directly face the stage.

1st Course – Crab Stack – Avocado, Pineapple salsa, crab, salted crema, chile oil, Chips
Pairing - Slightly Mighty – A lo-cal IPA that’s slight in calories, but mighty in hop character. only 95 calories, 3.6g carbs, 1g protein and 0g fat per 12oz serving.
2nd Course – Yuzu Pork Belly – Pork belly, Fava bean succotash (fava bean, red pepper, asparagus, corn, grape tomato), Ponzu glaze, sesame oil, Micro arugula
Pairing - Yuzu Saison – A collaboration with The Larimer Beer Co., this is a kettle-sour saison brewed with Japanese Yuzu juice, lemongrass and Lemon Drop and Cascade hops.
3rd Course – SuperEIGHT Sundae – Chocolate brownie, Berry Compote, Super Eight Ice cream, Whipped Cream, Boozy cherry
Pairing - SuperEIGHT – This sessionable super gose is brewed with a boatload of heroic ingredients including prickly pear, mango, boysenberry, blackberry, raspberry, elderberry, kiwi juices, toasted quinoa and an ample addition of red Hawaiian sea salt.
