ABOUT ABOUT

Dogfish Head x Patagonia Provisions Beer Dinner at Brewings & Eats: Friday, 6:30 p.m. Ticketed Event*

Something new is abrew with some of our longtime, planet-loving friends! We’ve teamed up with Patagonia Provisions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Patagonia, to create a beer made with ingredients that restore, rather than deplete, our planet. Introducing Kernza Pils – a snappy, crisp, climate-crisis-fighting beer. We are so excited about this new brew that we thought a collaborative beer dinner was in order to celebrate!

Join Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione, Patagonia Provisions co-founder Birgit Cameron, and President of The Land Institute Rachel Stroer, at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats for an exclusive beer dinner event.

During our beer dinner event, guests will experience a 3-course meal paired Dogfish Head beers, a viewing of Unbroken Ground (more on this below—keep reading!), and hear from Sam, Birgit and Rachel as they discuss all things Kernza, beer, food and our collaboration in the name of collective action.

--

In 2016, Patagonia Provisions developed a film highlighting The Land Institute’s signature perennial grain Kernza. Unbroken Ground explains the critical role that food will play in the next frontier of humanity’s mission to solve the environmental crisis. This film tells the story of four groups that pioneered the fields of regenerative agriculture, regenerative gazing, diversified crop development and restorative fishing.

Guests can purchase tickets together, but most seats for this dinner are a communal seating arrangement. Full booths are available with seats of 4 together. Please note that there are also seats available at the main bar. Note: Not all bar seats directly face the stage.

CHECK OUT THE MENU

1st Course: Baywater Farms Salad- Crisp Local greens, Seasonal Vegetables Miso Apricot Vinaigrette

Paired with: Aprihop (7% ABV) – A longtime Dogfish favorite this is the fruit beer for people who don’t like fruit beer, and also for those who do like fruit beer. Aprihop is a right-hearty India Pale Ale brewed with an irresponsible amount of hops and honest-to-goodness apricots

2nd Course: Patagonia Kernza Pasta Sustainable Seafood Carbonara- Maine Mussels, Seared Maine Pollock, Poached Egg Yolk, English Peas, Smoked Shallots, Crispy Pancetta

Paired with: Kernza Pils (5% ABV)- We’re working with our friends at Patagonia Provisions to make a beer with a revolutionary new grain: Kernza, a long-rooted perennial developed by The Land Institute. Besides the benefits to our ecosystem, Kernza adds a snappy crispness to this refreshing pilsner. Every sip you take helps us plant more Kernza, fight the climate crisis and brew more delicious beer. Drink up to draw down.

3rd Course: Dark Chocolate Luxaredo Cherry Cheesecake- Maple Pretzel Crust, Dark Cocoa Whipped Cream, Luxaredo Jus

Paired with:

Manhattan Project (7.2% ABV)- Inspired by the classic cocktail, The Manhattan Project is a rich mahogany rye lager brewed with cherries, aromatic bitters and herbs.

*Note – We will not be offering menu substitutes for courses on this dinner... Sorry folks!
